Social Jive and Rock & Roll Beginners Free taster
Come and join us and learn the basics of Jive and Rock ‘n’ Roll dancing to be used socially. A free taster for beginners: dancers will learn the basics of jive: a social dance which incorporates influences from rock ‘n’ roll, jitterbug, lindyhop and others.

Dances will be taught in classes which are aimed at couples, so dancers are advised to come with a friend or partner, though this does not have to be male/female couples

If you then join the course you will learn a new figure each week to create a short routine, with the opportunity to attempt more complex steps if you like.

By the end of the course you should be able to recognise appropriate jive music, dance in time to music, incorporate several figures into a routine and either lead or follow an un-choreographed routine.
