Willow Weaving: Woven Garden Plant Supports
We will start the day by looking at different types of willow and learning about its preparation and qualities. There will be new words associated with willow weaving and the tutor will show you some simple weaving techniques as you make the garden plant supports (which should be about 4 or 5 ft. once finished). Instructions and help will be given whenever needed. Prosp User 3
This course is suitable for anyone with enthusiasm for making things and interested in willow and weaving - especially gardeners. Beginners and those with some experience of willow weaving are welcome. Prosp User 4
Most materials and equipment will be provided - if you have your own sharp secateurs, it would be useful to bring these.
Each person must bring a stout, shallow cardboard box to put the uprights into. A cardboard fruit box is ideal - measurements at least 12 inches x 12 inches or 30cm x 30cm but no more than 6 inches (15cm) high - please ask if confused!

There will be a small charge for the willow to be paid to the tutor on the day of the course. We estimate that the materials charge will be between £5 - £7 (depending upon the wholesale price of willow at the time the course runs).

Please bring a packed lunch and drinks if you require them.

Please also bring your own hand sanitiser and sanitiser wipes.
