Creative Crafts (exclusive to York Carers)
Our Creative Crafts course encourages people to ‘have a go’ at a wide variety of craft techniques within a safe and supportive environment. There will be time to practise, explore and develop new skills, taught to you by our tutor, Debs. Support will also be given to help students experiment with materials and to develop their own ideas, if they would like to. Taught techniques will include felt making, collage, simple printing and embroidery.
There will be plenty of materials and fabrics to practise with, and learners may wish to bring things they have at home too, to personalise their work.
The course is exclusively for York carers. To book contact: enquiries@yorkcarerscentre.co.uk, 01904 715 490

Course Outcome:
To develop personal creative and craft skills and to gain experience in producing finished craft pieces.

This course takes place in the Garden Room at the central library in York. It is a ground floor classroom. Please note that the library has no parking available. There are sometimes a couple of available parking slots for people with a blue badge directly outside the library but these are City of York Council owned, and not library owned, and cannot be relied on to be available. There are bike racks and a number of buses that stop nearby. The library has a lovely café if you would like to buy a drink or snacks.

Please ensure that you read and understand the health and safety guidelines on any creative product or tools that you intend to use during the course, before the first class.
