Floristry Skills - Beginners and Improvers
Whether you are new to floristry skills or returning, enjoy this short course learning to create bouquets, display flowers in a vase, packaging, wiring flowers and creating a floral displays for an event.

A relaxed and enjoyable course where you will be guided through some basic skills and techniques of floristry such as, selection and care of suitable plant materials and their use in traditional, seasonal and contemporary designs. Identify, select and use appropriate foliage and a variety of containers and gift wrapping also considering suitable transportation methods.

Don’t be deterred if you are not new to floristry as our talented tutor can challenge and extend the most accomplished learners!

These classes are every fortnight so the sessions will be delivered on 21/9, 5/10, 19/10, 9/11, 23/11.

You will be able to create beautiful and colourful floral displays, bouquets and learn floristry skills such as wiring flowers.

You will also be able to suitably gift wrap your designs and package them for transportation depending on the design and occasion.

This course is suitable for all abilities. Learners who have already done this type of course may also enjoy attending as the tutor introduces new and exciting ideas each week. To further extend your knowledge you can progress onto the Developing Skills Course.

Please bring a notebook and pen. All flowers and foliage will be provided by the tutor at an average cosof £18 per week depending on the design and materials used. You can however bring your own if you wish. You can purchase, borrow or provide your own containers and vases to hold the displays you will make.

If you would like to do a class every week you could enrol on Joanna's second class BT1/BM7 and those sessions are 28/9, 12/10, 2/11, 16/11, 30,11

Given the practical nature of this course, if COVID-19 guidelines change at short notice and face-to-face delivery is no longer possible, a full refund will be given if the course has not started. A pro-rata refund will be issued after the first week, if the course has already begun.

Please note that Adult Education funding is for individuals who are over the age of 19 on the 31st of August prior to the start date of their course.
