Hatha Yoga for Relaxation - FREE Taster
This early evening free session will focus on releasing the stresses of the day and unwinding for a restful evening and good nights sleep. We will use a mix of gentle mindful movements and slow flowing postures, leading to restful breathing practise or pranayama (energy work) and guided relaxation. Prosp User 3
This class leads to a course which will be tailored in pace and challenge for basic to moderate levels of fitness and modifications will be given for a range of body types to make the posture practises as accessible as possible. All levels of fitness are welcome, and some basic knowledge of Hatha Yoga posture would be advisable.

Where possible I encourage use of Yoga equipment (or home substitutes); yoga blocks & bricks, cushions, knee pad, canvas belt, eye cover.

Due to Covid-19 students are encouraged to bring their own equipment (no longer provided by the teacher) which gives additional support and helps the body to open up (bodies won’t be forced!). These are not essential though, so please come along and give it a go regardless.

Wear comfortable clothing that allows free movement of the arms legs and neck. You’ll need a Yoga mat (£5-10 local supermarket). Please also wear yoga socks with sticky grips if you are unable to practise in bare feet. A Yoga block and belt would be good additions to the practise, but you could ad-lib with a chunky book or cushions to sit on, and a scarf or old canvas belt. A water bottle may provide welcome refreshment.

Covid-19 health and safety guidelines for the venue will apply. We ask that you please bring your own hand sanitiser and sanitiser wipes to each session for your own personal space.
