Chair Based Pilates - FREE Taster
This chair-based Pilates-inspired workout is suitable for people who have difficulty getting down on the floor and prefer the support of a chair. Regular Pilates practice can help improve posture, muscle tone, balance, and joint mobility, as well as relieve stress and tension.

We then learn to lengthen the muscles of the body by completing stretching exercises. The next stage of the workout is resistance training - this is where you will utilise your bodyweight or light weighted objects to strengthen your muscles. We will condition the muscles of the body to withstand resistance and build on this week in week out during the follow on course, aiming to enhance your strength and power. The next phase will be working on your core muscles and balance. Some of these exercises will be standing but can also be done in a seated position. The final section of this class focuses on breathing and calming the body down and supporting your mental wellbeing. The beauty of this class is that the tutor can modify exercises that might not be suited to you.
