Initial Assessment for Functional Skills Maths Courses
Places on a Functional Skills maths course are subject to a pre-course 1:1 initial assessment with a maths tutor.
There are options to book either a face to face or online meeting (via Zoom) which will take approximately 30 minutes.
If an online Zoom meeting is selected, you will receive a link to an online assessment task which must be completed in advance of your Zoom meeting. During the meeting, the tutor will chat to you about how you use maths skills in your daily life and why you want to improve them. They wil also discuss your class options and confirm your next steps.
