Needle felt - Christmas Robins
Taking inspiration from our garden birds, the tutor will demonstrate how to use a simple needle felting method to model the fleece into firmly felted birds which will stand. Using soft, beautiful coloured carded sheep’s fleece, special felting needles and a foam cushion you will be guided through this technique to make your very own garden bird or Christmas robin. This is a dry felting process which we can sit down to do with rewarding results. Prosp User 3
A workshop for anyone wanting to try their hand at needle felting. All abilities are welcome and no experience is necessary. Prosp User 4
All materials will be provided on the day for a charge of £5.50 per participant, made at the start of the session. Please try and bring the correct amount to try and reduce cash-handling by the tutor.

You will need to bring a packed lunch and any drinks you might need as lunch is not provided. However, there is a lovely café on site. Please check the library's own website for the opening times of the café: www.exploreyork.org.uk

Please bring your own hand sanitiser and sanitiser wipes to the session.

This course takes place in the Brierley Room at the central library in York. It is a ground floor classroom. Please note that the library has no parking available. There are sometimes a couple of available parking slots for people with a blue badge directly outside the library but these are City of York Council owned, and not library owned, and cannot be relied on to be available. There are bike racks and a number of buses that stop nearby.

Given the practical nature of this course, if COVID-19 guidelines change at short notice and face-to-face delivery is no longer possible, a full refund will be given.
