Handstitched Fabric Book
Stitch a fabric concentina-style book on a personal theme. Using scraps of fabric, ribbon, buttons and small photographs, hand stitch a series of small pages which could be vintage, contemporary or a mixture of both. You could choose from a range of themes including family, your garden, your interests, your holidays etc.

The background fabric, additional fabrics, ribbon, buttons and threads will be provided for you but you will need to bring to the session some personal items, such as passport-sized photographs, tickets and bits and pieces that could be stitched into your work.

This workshop is open to all but it would be an advantage to have some experience of hand stitching, for example, simple running stitch and maybe some decorative stitches. Prosp User 4

This course takes place in the Garden Room at the central library in York. It is a ground floor classroom. Please note that the library has no parking available. There are sometimes a couple of available parking slots for people with a blue badge directly outside the library but these are City of York Council owned, and not library owned, and cannot be relied on to be available. There are bike racks and a number of buses that stop nearby.

Please ensure that you read and understand the health and safety guidelines on any new creative product you intend to use during the course, before the workshop.
Given the practical nature of this course, if COVID-19 guidelines change at short notice and face-to-face delivery is no longer possible, a full refund will be given.
