Spanish Year 4
Term 1: - Learn to talk about the modes of transport you use when travelling and give explanations as to why you prefer certain methods to others. You will also learn to identify people and places in the airport, as well as how to refer to specific items. Furthermore, you will be able to successfully navigate customs and check-in, as well as familiarising yourself with safety information. You will also learn how to construct and use another form of the past tense.

If you decide to enrol for further terms later in the year, ths is what will be covered in the spring and summer terms in 2022:

Term 2: - You will learn how to report lost or stolen items and give important details and descriptions about the object and when it was mislaid or taken using the appropriate past tense(s). You will also be able to file a report with the police and receive a crime report.

Term 3: - Learn how to name the parts of the body and describe someone’s physical appearance and distinguishing features. You will also be able to describe someone’s personality and talk about their characteristics.

You will learn by listening to and repeating new words and phrases, reading simple texts, doing a variety of exercises and practising new language in role play situations.

This is a fourth year course, and it is essential to have undertaken four years of Spanish classes (or equivalent) and have prior knowledge of:
• Pronunciation rules
• Numbers 1 - 3000
• Regular and irregular verbs (present tense)
• The gender of nouns and adjectival agreements

It is also preferable to have an understanding of:
• Gustar
• Reflexive verbs

If you attended the Year 3 Spanish class at Fulford pre-COVID, you should enrol on the Year 4 course.
