Spanish for Absolute Beginners
Term 1: - Learn to greet Spanish speakers, introduce yourself and ask people how they are. You will be taught the basics of Spanish pronunciation, the numbers 1-100 and how to correctly refer to different nouns – which will aid you with topics throughout the year. You will also learn how to talk about different countries and nationalities, as well as languages and jobs.

You will learn by listening to and repeating new words and phrases, reading simple texts, doing a variety of exercises and practising new language in role play situations.

If you decide to continue and re-enrol in the following terms, this is what will be covered:

Term 2: - You will learn how to order something to eat and drink in a café, as well as how to ask for extra items and make complaints where appropriate. Numbers will also be revised and adapted to dialogue so that you can pay bills and receive the correct change. Furthermore, you will learn how to refer to shops and places of interest, and establishing whether they are near or far.

Term 3: - Learn how to ask for directions in town and be able to follow them. You will also be able to ask for the time and tell someone what time it is, in addition to asking about the opening and closing times of shops and attractions. Furthermore, you will learn how to talk about what you are going to do in the near future.
