Papercut Christmas Decorations
Join us to learn the basic skills and techniques needed to create your own striking papercut designs.

Your friendly tutor will guide you through the art of paper cutting. You will learn all the necessary skills and techniques to enable you to produce beautifully made papercut Christmas cards.

You will first learn the basics of paper cutting and practise using simple festive templates. Once you are comfortable with the tools and materials, you can then design and create your own papercut using positive and negative cutting techniques and a variety of papers to produce a unique hand cut artwork. No previous experience necessary.

There is an additional materials cost of £3.00 to be paid to the tutor on the day of the workshop. The materials cost will cover the supply of paper/card/envelopes.

Please bring a small, sharp craft knife of your own, if possible. If you do not have one, you can borrow one from the tutor and purchase a blade for 50p.


Please bring:

When you arrive at the school, please walk to the school's main reception. The York Learning reception staff will be there to greet you and explain how to find your classroom.

If you require refreshments, please bring a packed lunch and beverages.

Given the practical nature of this course, if COVID-19 guidelines change at short notice and face-to-face delivery is no longer possible, a full refund will be given.
