Information, Advice and Guidance - Community Connections
We’re back with our popular Information, Advice and Guidance course (IAG), now on Zoom! Do you work or volunteer in a role where you engage with parents/carers or support families? Our IAG network comprises of people working in all kinds of ways to help families and individuals access information and services or to achieve and learn. We will talk about:
• The differences between simply signposting and offering more in-depth support
• Look at ownership of actions and goals
• Discuss the importance and advantages of linking up with others through formal and informal networking.
Whether you want to develop these skills within your own role or would like to join us as a Community Learning Champion, to encourage parents and carers to engage with services and learn new skills, please sign up. You'll gain lots of great transferable skills, become part of a city-wide IAG network and be given an opportunity to work towards formal IAG qualifications (free at Level 2) if you wish to take it further. For further information about how IAG training can support you in your workplace, please take a look at our learner testimonials here: www.yorklearning.org.uk/learning-for-everyone/iag
