Crafty Crochet
In this course we will be doing a CAL project (Crochet A-Long).

We will be making a blanket that will be comprised of squares made using a different stitch for each one. This will give us chance to broaden our library of stitches we can use confidently.

I hope to get through several stitches each week.

At the end of the course we will learn how to join to squares and how to edge the blanket.

Please make sure you have a few crochet hooks available. I would have a size 3, 4 and 5 available. The size of your hook can be dependent on the tension of the yarn while you work.

You will also need some yarn. It's always nice to have a variety of colours available for a project like this, but I would make sure you stick to DK (double Knit), but the brand or colours can be your personal choice.

This is an online course that will be delivered via Zoom, so please ensure that you can access this on the device you are using.

You will receive your Zoom login details in an email that is sent out 24 hours before the course is due to start. (Please note, if you enrol less than 24 hours before a course starts, you will receive your zoom code as soon as you enrol.) Please keep your Zoom code safe as you will need the same code for further classes if this is part of a course.

You will need to join Zoom five minutes before your session is due to start and remain in the “waiting room”. Your tutor will then admit you to the class once your session is ready to begin.

If you require help to download or use Zoom, please email ictskills@york.gov.uk at least a week before your course starts and we will endeavour to provide assistance.

Please ensure that you read and understand the H&S guidelines on any new creative product you intend to use during the course, before the first class.
