Painting & Drawing Skills
Learners will develop skills in relation to all the “formal elements” such as line, tone & shade, mark making, proportion and scale….
We will also develop skills in the use of Watercolour painting as the course develops.
You will be encouraged to be creative and experiment with different techniques in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. Our inspirational reference will be mainly photographic.
A week before the course we will email you good quality photographs. You can then decide to either work directly from your computer screen, or print them out if you would rather work from a paper copy. You may also wish to use fresh flowers or images of your own choice.
Teaching and learning will be based on varied demonstration, step-by-step instruction, discussion and one-to-one personalised guidance.
By the end of the course, you will have developed your drawing and painting skills and produced some beautiful drawings and paintings of bees, flowers, landscapes, animals … It is important that you refer to the sections “What do I need to bring” and “Is there anything else I need to know”.
