This is not a beginner’s class; some sewing/pattern cutting experience will be necessary.

Each week will also include a short demo on ‘Altering patterns to suit individual shapes’ the topic each week will be decided by learners.
Please note that demonstrations are recorded in tutors’ own homes. All videos and power points will be available to the learners following the session and available to use as a resource in their future projects.

*Please note, a fully-working sewing machine is required to complete this course – no time will be available from the tutor to fix sewing machine problems.*

You will need to provide your own fabrics and pattern paper to complete the tasks – detailed information of the requirements and pattern pieces will be sent once we know the class has enough learners enrolled to make it viable. Prosp User 5
No session on 3rd and 31st May 2021.

The course will be fully supported by ‘Padlet’ (best described as an online noticeboard) where weekly demonstrations and other useful material will be uploaded by the tutor. This platform can also be used to keep in touch with likeminded learners to share ideas between sessions and keep a record of your progress.

This is an online course that will be delivered via Zoom, so please ensure that you can access this on the device you are using.

You will receive your Zoom login details in an email that is sent out 24 hours before the course is due to start. (Please note, if you enrol less than 24 hours before a course starts, you will receive your zoom code as soon as you enrol.) Please keep your Zoom code safe as you will need the same code for further classes if this is part of a course.

You will need to join Zoom five minutes before your session is due to start and remain in the “waiting room”. Your tutor will then admit you to the class once your session is ready to begin.

If you require help to download or use Zoom, please email at least a week before your course starts and we will endeavour to provide assistance.

Please ensure that you read and understand the health and safety guidelines for any creative product, machinery or tools that you intend to use during the course, before the first class.
