German Year 3 - term 3
This term you will continue with the course book Willkommen! 2 and you will revise and practise familiar topics such as hobbies and how to express likes and dislikes. New topics will include education, describing where you live and learning about the city of Munich.

The classes will focus primarily on speaking, listening, and reading, as well as providing ample opportunities to work through a variety of exercises and practise new language in role play and conversational situations. With its clear and effective approach, you’ll soon be able to engage in increasingly sophisticated conversations and express opinions on a wide range of subjects from food to property, as well as get to know people and cope confidently in everyday situations.

Course Outcomes:
- Reviews A1 and then maps from A2 to B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) for languages
- Comprehensive coverage of key grammar and vocabulary - for communicating in a range of common conversational settings
- Range of activities based on authentic materials - to see everyday German in context

This course is ideal for someone who has studied German for two years or at GCSE/O-level at some time in the past, and who is ready to take their German to the next level.

This course is for anyone interested in developing their ability to speak and understand German in a variety of holiday and social settings. You do not need to have started the course in September and can join the course for a term as per your own requirements.

Please have a notebook, an A4 ring binder and pens to hand (approximate cost £5).

We follow the course book Willkommen! 2 which is an intermediate, multimedia German adult learning programme for classroom and home use.

The course pack includes the coursebook with CD and DVD set and costs approximately £28 (ISBN-10: 1473601398). There is the option to also purchase the activity book which supplements the course and costs approximately £12 (ISBN-10: 1444165208).

If you are joining the course this term, please do not buy the book until after the first session.

This is an online course that will be delivered via Zoom, so please ensure that you can access this on the device you are using.

You will receive your Zoom login details in an email that is sent out 24 hours before the course is due to start. (Please note, if you enrol less than 24 hours before a course starts, you will receive your zoom code as soon as you enrol.) Please keep your Zoom code safe as you will need the same code for further classes if this is part of a course.

You will need to join Zoom five minutes before your session is due to start and remain in the “waiting room”. Your tutor will then admit you to the class once your session is ready to begin.
