You will need to bring and have prepared for class:
Synthetic paint brushes (3/4 inch flat, ½ inch flat, approx. size 5 round, approx. size 0 round and a size 0 rigger (very long bristle).
A palette or a flat area to mix paint onto (could be an old large margarine tub lid or a place mat).
A large water tub (sort of size of 200g coffee jar).
A rag to wipe your brush on.
Protection for your table (work area).
An easel (if you have one).
Acrylic paint set (at least size 75ml each). You may be able to buy sets from places like the Range or Hobbycraft in York. Colours: titanium white, a black (or panes grey), a blue (perhaps cobalt), a yellow (like a mid-tone), a brown (maybe raw or burnt umber), a red (like brilliant or maybe alizarin crimson), and a green (like a sap green). Any other colours are welcome too e.g. yellow ochre, ultra-marine blue etc, if you have them.
Something to paint on, a canvas or canvas board (x4) (size: larger than A4, don’t go any larger than A2 as the larger the area the faster you will have to work and the more paint you will need). You may wish to use acrylic paper and buy a pad, if so, you will need to tape your paper onto a piece of board.
