An Introduction to Wordpress
This course will provide you with an introduction to WordPress for creating websites and/blogs for personal or business use. We will cover how to plan your site, create pages and posts, add and format text and images, create site navigation and use themes & plugins to add additional functionality.

Each week there will be a 2 hour online Zoom session complemented by materials and exercises for self-directed learning.

This course is ideal if you want to set up your own website for personal use, for work or for your own business. Prosp User 4
No prior knowledge of WordPress or web design is needed however you should have a good level of general IT skills. As the course will be delivered online you will need a computer or laptop (rather than a tablet or phone) internet access, microphone/ speakers (or headset). You should be confident with using the web and installing software. Prosp User 5
By the end of the course you will have created your own WordPress site including basic features and navigation.

This is an online course that will be delivered via Zoom, so please ensure that you can access this on the device you are using. You will receive details and joining instructions of how to access the course shortly before the start date by email.

You will need to join Zoom five minutes before your session is due to start and remain in the “waiting room”. Your tutor will then admit you to the class once your session is ready to begin.
