This Pilates course is suitable for beginners and also for individuals who have already learnt the principles of Pilates to further improve posture, balance and alignment of the body. The six principles of Pilates are concentration, control, centre, flow, precision, and breathing.
Students are taught to use their “powerhouse" - the powerhouse is the centre of the body and when strengthened, it offers a solid foundation for any movement. This Pilates class will focus on core strength and train the body as an integrated whole. Participants will improve strength and balanced muscle development through Pilates exercise as well as improving flexibility and increased range of motion for their joints.
The course will develop your Pilates skills and help you to maintain and build your form, ability and strength and exercises will progress as the course continues dependant upon your individual ability.
Engage in a variety of exercises to suit your level and ability which will help to improve your posture, flexibility and core stability.
