How Children Learn English at School
This is a rolling programme on Wednesdays, 1:30pm - 2:30pm.

See how English is taught at primary school today - from story-telling to spelling cards and from reading schemes to writing projects. We will unravel all the technical jargon and talk about what children will learn at different stages through primary school.
We will look at how your child can learn from different experiences, share ideas and explore and try out out resources to help with your child's reading, writing and language skills at home.
Stuck with homework? Bring it along to the class and we'll see what we can do! If you're not confident about talking to your child's teacher about their progress, we can talk about this too.
This course takes place in the autumn term. The follow on from this, in January, is an opportunity to continue to develop your skills to support your child but you will also be able to complete an adult qualification in English for yourself. If you missed out on GCSEs at school, this is a great way to catch up.
