Crafts - Creating Wellbeing
An opportunity to enjoy ten weeks of creativity and mindfulness, within your own home.
The course promotes a sense of self expression, experimentation and meditative crafting in a relaxed and supportive environment. Over the duration of the course you will feel part of an online community and supported by the tutor to try out new creative techniques.
Learners will tear, wrap, hammer and use their hands to sculpt their way into a creative space that brings joy and contributes to their sense of wellbeing. There will be a strong focus on the process of making, with the outcomes of the course focusing on relaxation, experimentation and self-expression. Techniques covered throughout the duration of the course will include mark making, mixed media collage, fabric dyeing and flower printing, embossed foil plaques and salt dough and felt Christmas decorations.
You will feel inspired by the tutor and your peers attending the course. Each session will consist of a group catch up, tutor demonstrations and the time for you to practise making, exploring ideas and developing skills in making. The tutor will focus on developing your confidence whilst giving you a number of techniques and methods for you to develop and experiment with further.
The course will be delivered online via Zoom and Google Classroom.

Please ensure that you read the sections about what to bring, and any additional information.
