Summer Festival: Pilates for All
Join us for our Summer Festival classes to keep you learning. We didn’t want to leave you bored over the summer and yearning for your learning, so we’ve decided to hold a Summer Festival where you can continue your favourite class with your favourite tutor or even try something new!

This Pilates class will help to improve the posture, balance and alignment of the body. At the beginning of each class you will learn to demonstrate posture “set up”, how to engage pelvic floor muscles, find neutral spine and the basic technique of thoracic breathing. Throughout class, you will be taught the principles of Pilates which are concentration, control, flow, precision and breathing.

Students are taught to use the "powerhouse". This is the centre of the body and when strengthened it offers a solid foundation for any movement. This class will focus on core strength and train the body as an integrated whole. You will improve muscular strength, flexibility and balance as well as improving your range of motion through your joints.

All exercises will be taught starting at base and options to progress or regress each exercise will be given throughout class.

This course is for all individuals, including those with little or no experience, as well as those with more experience.

All exercises will start at the base level and options will then be given to make it harder. It is the student's decision whether to take these options and it is always advised to take each exercise to where you feel comfortable and no further.
