Join us for our Summer Festival classes to keep you learning. We didn’t want to leave you bored over the summer and yearning for your learning, so we’ve decided to hold a Summer Festival where you can continue your favourite class with your favourite tutor or even try something new!
Chair Yoga is derived from traditional yoga, an ancient practice which dates back over 5,000 years. Many traditional yoga poses can be replicated and altered to accommodate a chair, making it accessible and suitable for all levels of experience. Incorporating a chair provides extra support and allows gradual improvements to your strength, balance and flexibility. As well as performing safe yoga poses, your tutor, Alison, will teach breathing and relaxation techniques to help you calm the body and mind.
These sessions will give you a basic understanding of the theory and philosophy of yoga. You will be able to use the skills you have learnt to assist you in creating lasting changes which may help you navigate more effectively through everyday life.
