Summer Festival: Pilates for All
Join us for our Summer Festival classes to keep you learning. We didn’t want to leave you bored over the summer and yearning for your learning, so we’ve decided to hold a Summer Festival where you can continue your favourite class with your favourite tutor or even try something new!

This Pilates course is suitable for beginners and also for individuals who have already learnt the principles of Pilates to further improve posture, balance and alignment of the body. The six principles of Pilates are concentration, control, centre, flow, precision and breathing. Students are taught to use their “powerhouse". The powerhouse is the centre of the body, and when strengthened, it offers a solid foundation for any movement. This Pilates class will focus on core strength and train the body as an integrated whole.

Participants will improve strength and balanced muscle development through Pilates exercise, as well as improving flexibility and increasing the range of motion in the joints. The course will develop your Pilates skills and help you to maintain and build your form, ability and strength. Exercises will progress as the course continues dependent upon individual ability. You will also engage in a variety of exercises to suit your level and ability which will help to improve your posture, flexibility and core stability.

Please make sure you that have a suitable space available to exercise in, where you will be able to see your screen easily and safely.

Ideally, you will also need a 10-12mm thick mat to help support bones and joints through movement which allows exercises to be performed more comfortably and dynamically.
