Summer Festival - Taking a holiday in a Painting
During this painting workshop we’ll be creating imaginative, colourful and expressive paintings, taking our inspiration from beautiful and exotic locations – this could be anything from a dream holiday destination to your back garden! We’ll begin by looking at a few painting examples, and then your tutor, Liz, will take you through some step-by-step guidance to help you get started. Liz will be available to advise and offer help throughout the session, with time for a coffee break at half-time. We’ll finish the workshop by sharing what we’ve been painting with each other. After the workshop you have the option of emailing images of your completed paintings to Liz, to be shared on an online gallery page.

This course has been designed to accommodate people with little or no experience, as well as the more advanced. Prosp User 4
You will be emailed by Liz a week before the session with guidance on setting up your workspace.

As we are all working from home please use whatever materials you have access to. You can work in any paint medium you prefer, although acrylic will offer good versatility and dries quickly. You can paint on canvas, board, or paper. You can also use pastels and coloured pencils, either on their own (if you don’t have access to paint at home) or combined with paint to create a mixed-media piece.
