DLSR Photography - Get off Auto… on location!
Aimed at any photographer who owns a DSLR or bridge camera and want to learn how to take better pictures out on location!
Get Off Auto – On Location is designed as a follow-up to my beginners Get Off Auto class, but is also pitched to more advanced photographers seeking a refresher course. This one-day workshop is less classroom based than the first Get Off Auto class and involves more shooting. We start the day at 10:30am at Huntington School for a recap and a cuppa. I'll give a brief recap of the three components of what photographers call the "Exposure Triangle": Aperture, Shutter Speed, and ISO. Then we go out with our cameras and (fingers crossed for a nice day) along the way we will practice our photography. I'll give you one-to-one support as you take pictures and share more tips for focusing, exposure, framing and composition to help you gain perfect pictures every time.
By the end of the course you will have practiced: Shutter Speeds, Aperture, F-Stops (how to use them creatively), ISO and photosensitivity, White balance (how to avoid blue and yellow casts in your photography), Creative Focusing, Camera Programs (the main programs explained), Composition and the Rule-of-Thirds.
