Time for You: Mindfulness Based Living
This 8 week experiential course will support you in discovering how regular mindfulness practice can benefit your health and wellbeing and connect you more fully with your life.
This course will gradually develop your skills in mindfulness practice over eight carefully structured 2hr sessions. Evidence shows that mindfulness can help alleviate a range of everyday issues such as stress, sleep, and physical pain. People report that their mindfulness practice helps them appreciate their lives more and gives them a sense of wellbeing.
Each week there will be supported meditation practices, in a comfortable, small group setting. The course will help you bring your attention to the present moment, and treat yourself with kindness. Over the course, we will learn a range of practices building on experience from the previous week. You will be provided with recordings of guided meditations, so you can practise in between sessions. This will enable you to strengthen and develop the skills that are introduced each week.
At the end of course you will have explored a number of techniques that help you practise mindfulness, kindness and self acceptance. You will understand how you can continue to develop and bring these qualities into your life beyond the end of the course for improved wellbeing.
