Pottery - Make and Raku Fire
You will learn how to hand-build, using raku clay.
There will be in depth demonstration the first week & then again, on a regular basis, as & when required. Students will make their own work under the guidance of their tutor. You will learn all the different techniques for hand-building in depth & work with both coloured slips & raku glazes.
Once dried the work will be initially fired in the electric kiln & the work can then be glazed and put in the outdoor raku kiln at appropriate intervals throughout the course.
The workshops will be lead by an experienced Ceramicist & tailored to suit your
requirements. The course is suitable for both beginners & those with some experience of working with clay.
