Fused Glass - Pendant making
Ideal for anyone new to working with glass. Come and unravel the mysterious of this luminous material. A chance to have a play and learn new skills. All tools, materials & equipment will be provided by the tutor on the day. A materials charge (which also covers firing) of £6 will need to be paid directly to the tutor, in cash which will cover the cost of 2 pendants, finished with a silver plaited bail. More can be made for an extra charge of 50p per item. They can be collected after the workshop by arrangement with your tutor.
Your tutor will demonstrate the basics of sheet glass cutting, and how to handle the other glass materials safely. There will be a good selection of colours and metal inclusions and you will have plenty of time to play and create. At the end of the session your tutor will take away the assembled pieces so they can be fused in a kiln. She will then glue on silver plaited bails. They will be available for collection at a later date by arrangement with the tutor.
You will create some colourful and unique jewellery. Verbal feedback will be given through the day from your friendly tutor.
