Learners will have produced some items of simple Soft furnishing Prosp User 3
Beginners – with no experience whatsoever, those who have never used a sewing machine before. Or, those who have some knowledge, but perhaps lack the confidence to mend or make simple items, decorative or useful, to a good standard.
This course is not really for the advanced sewer

For the first session, please bring a small notebook, a pencil, tape measure, reel of cotton and hand sewing needles. Please bring half a metre of fabric, which will be used to create samples and should be cotton or polycotton. The fabric can be plain or patterned, but I’d avoid checked, tartan or lined fabric, at this stage.
Learners are asked to bring their own fabrics and cottons as the course continues. However, this is not designed to be an expensive course, moreover, we will use as many recycled materials as possible.
