Easter Cakes & Bakes
At this Hands-on baking course you will learn how to make a selection of cakes and bakes that you can use for Easter entertaining. The course will cover cakes, pastry, cheesecakes, fondant icing and how to master the art of curling chocolate to decorate your accomplishments. Your tutor will offer expert advice and give you handy tips and ideas to help you perfect your newly found skills.

You will gain the skills knowledge and confidence to make a mouth-watering Victoria sponge into *battenburg or *ice fondant fancies. You will learn how to make pastry and both hot and cold cheesecakes and gluten-free roulades from meringue or chocolate. This course is for those who enjoy decorating and making desserts with chocolate caraque.

This course is suitable for beginners or intermediate cooks but it is suggested if you do not have a good knowledge of cookery/baking you do not attempt the ones marked with * Prosp User 4
Please bring an apron, baking paper, dishcloth, 2 tea towels and containers to take your food home in. You will need to bring your own ingredients each week.

Over the weeks you will learn how to make a Victoria sponge and turn it in to a simnel, battenburg or fondant fancies. You will master the art of a baked or mousse-like cheesecakes choosing from white chocolate double chocolate or baked Lemon. You will then choose your favourite tray bake such as lemon drizzle slices, or cherry and almond tart. Finally choose a lemon meringue roulade with homemade lemon curd or a Death by Chocolate cake or roulade and impress your friends with the art of decorating with chocolate caraque curls!! , The estimated cost of ingredients each week will be £10 - £15.
