Ballroom/Latin Absolute Beginners
During the course you will learn to Waltz, Social Foxtrot, etc. You will also be taught ‘leading’ and ‘following’ techniques. Each week, basic steps will be taught in each dance, gradually building up into a routine, which will enable you to dance socially at any event. Dancing can be exhilarating and fun, as well as an ideal way to keep fit and supple.
By the end of this course you will be have learnt a routine in the Waltz, Quickstep, Social Foxtrot, and many more and will be able to perform them confidently.

This course is for the complete beginner who would love to be able to dance with confidence or those with some experience who would like to relearn the basics. Please enrol with a friend or partner as we cannot guarantee a partner to dance with. Please complete the health questionnaire at the first class indicating any contra indications to exercise. Please wear shoes with a leather sole (no trainers) with no pointed heels and bring a water bottle. The first hour of the session will be tutor taught and led, then the last half an hour will be a free dance/practice session for both the Beginners and Intermediates classes together. The tutor will still be on hand to encourage and assist you as you practice and develop your dancing steps and you gain in confidence.
Please can you arrive for your first class 10 minutes early to allow time to complete the health questionnaire to identify to the tutor any contra indications to exercise.
