B3169T1-Seated Pilates - a gentler approach - Free Taster
This seated Pilates class is for those with physical limitations and others who struggle with mat routines, and is designed to improve mobility, flexibility and strength.
If you are struggling with mobility and flexibility, this course could be just what you are looking for. Our gentler seated Pilates class is aimed at those who have not exercised regularly for some time or who are afraid to do so. The six principles of Pilates are concentration, control, centre, flow, precision, and breathing. They address core muscles which can help improve posture, balance and flexibility. Breathing techniques increase circulation and encourage concentration and focus. More benefits of moving include a boosted immune system and greater joint mobility. Therefore this course will begin with awakening the core muscles, breathing and posture. We will then move on to movements to loosen and strengthen the neck and spine and movements to train you to properly use your arms and legs. The aim is to help you towards a greater level of physical activity without pain with a body that works to the best of its own ability. All exercises are developed to each individual’s ability.
