B3005T1-Adaptive Chair Yoga
Join us for our gentle chair based yoga class where postures are adapted for our ever changing bodies. This course offers a realistic and accessible approach to yoga for the modern age.
Practicing sitting on a chair or standing using a chair or wall for support, you will learn to perform safe, slow and mindful practices; breathing techniques, and increase your body awareness to help reduce stiffness and discomfort. You will learn relaxation techniques to help you calm the body and mind. You will gain an understanding of the basic theory and philosophy of yoga. You will be taught how to use the skills you have learnt in class to help you navigate more effectively through everyday life.
This course aims to assist you in creating lasting changes which may help you feel the pleasures of a more limber, healthy body and mind.

Please wear loose, comfortable clothing (yoga/jogging bottoms) and bring a non-slip yoga mat (available at many local shops/supermarkets). Yoga blocks can be purchased through the tutor. Book shops/websites hold excellent books on yoga for students wishing to learn more about the subject. Prosp User 5
Please can you arrive for your first class 10 minutes early to allow time to complete the health questionnaire to identify to the tutor any contra-indications.
