B3112T1-DSLR Photography - Get off Auto
Aimed at Beginners and perfect if you want to get to know the ins and outs of exposure, composition and how to make the most of any situation, whilst you're in control of your camera not the other way around! You will learn how to operate your camera, make correct exposures and understand the basics like aperture, shutter speed and ISO. The aim is to give you a better understanding of how the camera works and help you gain an understanding and confidence to go out and shoot great pictures. Designed to be hands-on, we will be using our cameras from the word go and I will help to break down the barriers to learning without too much technical jargon!
By the end of the course you will have gained knowledge about-:
Shutter speed and how to use it creatively. Aperture f/stops – how to get the desired exposure using a combination of shutter speeds and f/stops. ISO – photosensitivity explained, what it all means. White balance – how to avoid blue and yellow casts in your photography. Focus – an introduction to this quite often-tricky area of photography.
Programmes – the main programmes explained fully. Lenses – how camera lenses can help add more creative control to your digital photography. Plus we will be exploring how to use your camera creatively for: Composition, Portrait, Street and Documentary, Close up, Landscape and Nature, Action and Sport.
