B3119T1 Festive Fayre - Christmas Breadmaking
A hands on workshop in which Hilary will demonstrate and explain effective methods of baking a variety of festive breads. You will learn about the different ingredients involved and how to mix, shape and bake bread using a range of ingredients added to a basic dough. During the course you will make, by hand breads such as a fruited spiced braid, stollen, wreaths and a savoury Christmas bread.
By the end of the workshop you will be able to bake sweet and savoury breads with extra added ingredients and create loaves in a range of attractive shapes. You will have recipes to take away and use at home as well as a collection of hand made bread.

This course is suitable for anyone who would like to extend their knowledge and experience of breadmaking. Please note this course is not suitable for a beginner with no previous breadmaking experience.

Please bring with you an apron, 2 tea towels, oven gloves, bags in which to take bread home, a sharp knife and pastry brush and a dough scraper. You will need to bring your own ingredients and a list will be emailed to you before the course. The estimated cost of ingredients will be £15. Please bring a packed lunch with you. Hot drinks will be available to purchase for a small fee.
