B3101T1-Pilates Beginners
This basic introduction to Pilates is designed to work on body alignment, core strength, joint stability, flexibility and mobility.
This class is perfect for individuals who have little or no experience in Pilates. It will help you improve your posture, core strength, joint stability, mobility, flexibility, co-ordination and balance. You will learn good body alignment, how to engage the pelvic floor, abdominal muscles and breath control, along with traditional principles of Mat Pilates including: concentration, control, core-centring, flow, precision and lateral breathing. This class will focus on core strength and train the body as an integrated whole. You will be introduced to Pilates at a beginner level and exercises will progress as the course continues dependant upon individual ability.

All exercises can be modified to make them easier or progressed to make them more challenging. Therefore, no prior experience of Pilates or any form of exercise is required to undertake this course. Prosp User 4
Please bring a small towel, water bottle and mat (Approx £5-£10). Please wear loose fitting clothing suitable for exercise and pumps or trainers – although it is preferable to do the class in socks or barefoot. Prosp User 5
Could you please arrive for your first class 10 minutes early to allow time to complete the health questionnaire to identify to the tutor any medical conditions that might be important. If you are new to exercise, please check with your health care provider before joining the course. Prosp User 6
