B3137T1-Veggie and Vegan Magic
At the hands-on workshop the tutor will show you how to adapt recipes and dishes to make vegetarian main meals and starters. The course is not exclusively plant based but will be introducing some vegan foods and will show you how to adapt recipes to make them vegan. Over the three week course you will choose two dishes to complete each week. You can also make an accompaniment if you have the time. The first week will cover soufflés and gougères, with unconventional salads and accompaniments; the second week, vegetable terrines and roulades; and the third week will concentrate on vegan dishes, bringing in nuts and pulses. However, each week you will be shown how you can adapt your recipes using plant based foods. The tutor will offer expert advice and give you handy tips and ideas to help you perfect your skills.
You will gain the skills and confidence to make a variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes. You will leave with ideas to alter recipes to suit you, and learn how to present pleasing dishes for a gastronomic treat. You will have a set of recipes that you can take away and practise your skills at home!
